Try something new.
Laziness and a lack of desire to take action. Losing yourself in social media. That’s what this painting could be about.
But it isn’t.
If you looked through my portfolio and time frames of when each painting was created, you can clearly see that this one was around the time I was going back to painting with a little bit of uncertainty mixed with curiosity towards myself. How does it make me feel? What do I want to create? What style?
I wasn’t quite sure, and so I was looking for inspiration. I wanted to show someone stuck in time, when the world around this person is moving. The laziness of getting up, along with the intense energy of space they’re in.
This directly reflects my time of looking for inspiration. Which colors should I use? What do I want to show through my painting? Or maybe I don’t want to show anything, and I just want it to be pretty? Does everything need to have meaning?
That was the time of looking for answers.
