First Evening in Paris

oil on canvas, October – November 2023

A little (22 yo) girl goes to Paris for the first time. October. After the pandemy.

I remember, that was after I watched “Midnight in Paris” like crazy. I think I’ve watched it over 50 times. We all have a movie like that, don’t we?

Anyway, so I get there for the first time, with all my imaginations about it and it’s not exactly as I thought it’s gonna be. Not every corner is pretty. But some are. I had my camera with me and I used it there for the first time. I took pictures like I was paid to do so.

And then, a little (24 yo) goes back to painting. And she wants to create something she’s never created before.

And so, she comes back to those pictures. And she sees beauty and she wants to show that beauty to others.

And she takes brush to her hand and is in front of a canvas, a little scared of painting buildings (I’m telling you that ain’t easy). And step by step, a memory is created.

And that’s how the story goes. The one who took the brush now got the courage to talk to you.

And so, Welcome to My World.
